How to choose the right Beauty Brand or product for you?
There is a lots of to opt from. Here is a small advice from me.
I would always consider what is in the product : ingerdients.
I normaly go for a plant extracts rather than the chemicals.
For example let’s compare an almond oil (natural ingredient) and mineral oil (chemical) which you can find in most of the beauty brand products.
Almond oil is rich in vitamin E, fatty acids, zinc and other minerals and vitamins. Regular application of the oil can protect your skin from oxidative stress and UV radiation damage, keeping it soft and supple. You can safely use almond oil on chafed skin anywhere on the body, even on baby skin.
Mineral oil also called “liquid petroleum", “paraffin oil” and “white mineral oil”. Nowhere is it’s use more debated, however, than in the cosmetic industry. People have relied on it for decades and things like baby oil and Vaseline are old favorite applications. There is an increased risk of cancer. It clogs pores and increases the production of acne and blackheads. Mineral oil doesn’t give your skin anything beneficial, it’s not infusing it with nutrients nor providing hydration.
Nature is more powerful than chemically produced products.
There is a number of safe, natural, organic and cruelty free companies certified by Soil Association (in England). When you see this logo on a product you can be sure it’s sourced and manufactured using sustainable ingredients, not tested on animals, free from harsh chemicals, nano particles, parabens, synthetic dyes and artificial fragrances.
Organic Beauty Brands contains higher level of antioxidants (up to 60%).
That’s the reason why I use Neal’s Yard Remedies beauty brand in my bathroom and beauty room as well.
See you soon!
